Allium hollandicum ‘Purple Sensation’

Native to Iran, the variety ‘Purple Sensation’ was selected in the 1960’s  in Holland by J. Bijl .   It has become a fashionable architectural plant, with large globes of rosy-purple spherical umbels.  I enjoy this flower in my garden, and in the home, particularly when dried.
