Lupinus ‘Rachel de Thame’

Lupins are a true English cottage garden plant, although they are not native to the UK.  Growing wild in North America, you will often see fields as a spectacular mass of blue! The lupins we see  in our gardens today are all derived from an introduction by John Tradescant  in 1637.  Lupinus ‘Rachel de Thame’ was  bred by West Country Lupins and is a gorgeous pink and white bicolour. It stands out particularly well against the black background.
