Dahlia ‘Thomas Edison’ dried

Introduced in 1929 by W. Maytrott of Dahliadel,  ‘Thomas Edison’  produces an abundance of deep purple flowers.

On drying the deep rich purple colour is retained, and in parts the petals have become beautifully translucent.
