Dahlia ‘Café au Lait Royal’ produces the classic milky coffee-coloured flowers, with the lightest dusting and streaking of pink. however once dried the flower takes on a totally new appearance.  The pink becomes an intense mauve – and the once gently curved petals twist dramatically.  This is a favourite image of mine. The ‘Café au lait’s’ are all about glamour and drama, but upon drying they are taken to a different level.
